雖自證緣種體，然非相分中攝，所以如《燈》。《疏》中上下言「相分」者，以護法義而從他也。

Although self-awareness takes the essence of the bīja as an object, it is nevertheless not included within the nimitta-bhāga; the reason is as stated in the Liaoyi deng. Where the Commentary mentions "nimitta-bhāga" above and below, it is following Dharmapāla's doctrine and conforming to him.
