一釋如《疏》。有義：「觀」者，觀名，即念住等，此能任持念住觀故。《佛地論》說：若就麁相，妙觀察智攝四念住，觀察一切身、土等法。

One explanation is as in the Commentary. A certain master says: "Contemplation" is the name of contemplation, namely the foundations of mindfulness and so forth, because this can sustain the contemplation of the foundations of mindfulness. The Buddhabhūmy-upadeśa says: In terms of coarse characteristics, the wondrously observing wisdom subsumes the four foundations of mindfulness, observing all dharmas such as bodies and lands.
