此答辭也：一、性散動；二者、常緣五塵為境。不同第八，故所變色五塵中收。

This is the wording of the reply: First, their nature is distracted and active; second, they constantly take the five dusts (sense objects) as their domain. Not being like the eighth, the matter they manifest is therefore subsumed under the five dusts.
