7.748

此顯識相不必皆同之所以也。性、相順故，見、相同性。非相順者，即色、心等種種別故。

This reveals the reason why the aspects (lakṣaṇa) of consciousness are not necessarily all identical. Because nature and aspect correspond, the darśana-bhāga and nimitta-bhāga share the same nature. Where they do not correspond, it is because matter, mind, and so forth are of various different kinds.
