Examining the nineteenth chapter of that sūtra, a verse states: "Just as a skilled painter / Cannot know his own mind, / Yet paints because of the mind, / Such is the nature of all phenomena. / If someone knows how the mind acts, / Universally creating all worlds, / This person sees the Buddha / And understands the Buddha's true nature. / If someone wishes to fully know / All the Buddhas of the three periods, / They should contemplate the nature of the dharmadhātu: / Everything arises from the mind alone." Furthermore, the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra, fascicle 467, states: "All bodhisattvas reflect thus: All conditioned phenomena are like illusions, arising solely from false conceptualization; everything is transformed by one's own mind." According to this, vijñapti-mātra is also taught in the second period of Prajñā; the Commentary speaks of the second period based on the predominant portion.
