Commentary: Below is the second [section], explaining that the four objections are unreasonable. Within this there are two [parts]: first, a general reply that they do not fail; afterwards, an individual demonstration that they do not fail. This is the first. They said that the four points must all fail to be established, but now all four are established. Therefore the treatise says: "Not all fail to be established." Furthermore, the words of the treatise speak of both, or of few or many; if it says "all" (皆), it definitely means three or more, because three or more is called "many phenomena"—this should be understood across newly translated sūtras and treatises. Here the reply establishes that the four are established, hence it says "all."
