1.14

一、增上緣，許佛說法，以佛無漏聲名句等為其教體，佛不說法，大定智悲，為其教體。

First, as an adhipati-pratyaya: if it is accepted that the Buddha preaches the Dharma, the Buddha's untainted sounds, names, phrases, and so forth constitute the teaching's essence; if the Buddha does not preach the Dharma, his great samādhi, wisdom, and compassion constitute the teaching's essence.
