述曰：經部等答：有教為因，證知識外有實色等，此總答也。舊論云：「阿含是因」，正云阿笈摩，此翻為傳，義當為教。

The Commentary says: The Sautrāntika and others answer: There is scriptural teaching as the reason proving that real matter and so forth exist outside consciousness. This is the general answer. The old treatise said 'Āgama is the reason.' The correct term is āgama, which is translated here as 'transmission,' and functionally corresponds to 'teaching.'
