The commentary says: This explains the first two lines of the verse. 'The manifesting consciousness that resembles form' refers to the visual consciousness that operates being able to manifest resembling form; because there is no real form, it is called 'resembling form'. Consciousness manifests resembling form; therefore, the visual consciousness is called 'the manifesting consciousness that resembles form'. 'Arises with differentiation from its own seed through the transformation occurring upon the concurrence of conditions' means: from the seed capable of generating the substance of one's own consciousness, once this seed has combined with conditions such as the cognitive object, its continuum differs from its original state, which is called 'transformation'. This consciousness that discerns form arises from its own seed with differentiated modes of activity, taking blue, yellow, and so forth as conditions.
