述曰：二乘根機者，名為應受有情無我教，由知唯有根、境識等，無實我故。二乘根者，便入有情無我正理，除計我執，得二乘果，是密意說十二處教之勝利也。

The commentary says: Those with the faculties of the two vehicles are termed 'those who ought to receive the teaching on the selflessness of sentient beings'. Because they know there are only faculties, objects, and consciousnesses, and no real self, those of the two vehicles' faculties enter the correct principle of the selflessness of sentient beings, eliminate the grasp of imagining a self, and attain the fruits of the two vehicles. This is the benefit of the intentional teaching of the twelve bases.
