述曰：此釋下二句頌，總立宗也，次當廣釋。文有其三：一、釋頌；二、申難；三、正答。此初也，說一切法唯有識者，是有情無我，密意教餘，故受化者能入一切法無我。「我」主宰義，知法無主宰，名法無我也。

The commentary says: This explains the lower two lines of the verse, generally stating the thesis; next it will be explained at length. The text has three parts: first, explaining the verse; second, raising the objection; third, providing the correct answer. This is the first. The teaching that all dharmas are consciousness-only is beyond the intentional teaching of the selflessness of sentient beings; therefore, those who are guided are able to enter the selflessness of all dharmas. 'Self' has the meaning of a master or controller; knowing that dharmas lack a master or controller is called the selflessness of dharmas.
