答：今亦遮此諸識相緣，不能親取，非遮體有。離自外境，亦非或一向遮體都無，但說自心不能親取。心親所取，定不離心，若離自心，定不親取。

Answer: It now also excludes these consciousnesses from taking one another as objects by directly apprehending them; it does not exclude their substantive existence. Regarding external objects separate from oneself, it is also not a wholesale denial of their substantive existence altogether; it merely says that one's own mind cannot directly apprehend them. What is directly apprehended by the mind is definitely not separate from the mind; if it were separate from one's own mind, it could definitely not be directly apprehended.
