述曰：此下敘執，外道、小乘若執實有離識之外，有色等處，與緣色等能緣之識各別為境。
The Commentary says: From here below, the views are stated. If non-Buddhists and Hīnayāna grasp that apart from consciousness there truly exist external āyatanas of form and so forth that serve as distinct objects for the cognizing consciousnesses that take form and so forth as objects,
