述曰：就第四段，破他宗中，此下第三，總結不成，顯歸唯識。「已辨極微非一實物」者，結前所破，能成極微一實非有。「是則離識，眼、色等」者，總結以上極微所成根、境非有。即是離識，眼等五根、色等五境，皆不得成。能成極微非實有故，所成根、境何義得成？

Commentary: Regarding the fourth section, refuting other schools, this is the third part below: concluding that they cannot be established, and demonstrating the return to consciousness-only (vijñapti-mātra). "Since it has already been demonstrated that a paramāṇu is not a single real thing" concludes the previous refutation that the constituent paramāṇus are not single, real existents. "Then apart from consciousness, the eye, form, and the rest" concludes the above point that the sense faculties and sense objects composed of paramāṇus do not exist. That is to say, apart from consciousness, the five sense faculties such as the eye and the five sense objects such as form can none of them be established. Since the constituent paramāṇus are not real existents, in what sense could the composed sense faculties and sense objects be established?
