述曰：此第二難。心外羊等，若其死位不由他人之所害者，世間殺羊、魚等屠者云何可得殺生之罪？若許罪是有，即殺心外之羊，心外羊無屠者，云何得罪？返覆二責，無所逃刑。

Commentary: This is the second objection. If sheep and other beings outside the mind are not killed at the time of their death by another person, how can butchers who slaughter sheep, fish, and the like in the world incur the sin of taking life? If you grant that the sin exists, then they must be killing sheep outside the mind; if sheep outside the mind do not exist, how can the butcher incur sin? With this two-sided reproach, there is nowhere to escape penalty.
