1.38

言無為法者，即不生不滅、無去無來、非彼非此、絕得絕失，簡異有為，無造作故，名曰無為也。

Speaking of asaṃskṛta-dharmas, they neither arise nor cease, neither go nor come, are neither that nor this, and are beyond acquisition and loss; distinguished from the conditioned, because they lack deliberate making, they are named unconditioned (asaṃskṛta).
