述曰：下第二顯宗因，有二，此乃勝論對聲生論，義如前說。若對聲顯，隨一不成。
Commentary: The following second part shows the thesis and reason, having two parts; this is the Vaiśeṣika against the Śabdakāryavāda, the meaning being as explained before. If against the Śabdābhivyaktivāda, it would be unestablished for one party (anyatarāsiddha).
