述曰：上已明真似立，次下第三明二真量，是真能立之所須具故之說。文分為四：一明立意、二明遮執、三辯量體、四明量果或除伏難。此即初二也。

The Commentary states: Above, the genuine and pseudo-sādhana have been explained; next, the third [major division] below explains the two genuine pramāṇas, which are stated because they are what a genuine sādhana must be equipped with. The text is divided into four: first, explaining the intention of establishing them; second, explaining the exclusion of attachment [to wrong views]; third, distinguishing the essence of the pramāṇas; and fourth, explaining the result of the pramāṇas (pramāṇa-phala) or removing hidden objections. These are the first two.
