Question: 'Now, objecting that existence-ness ought not to be existence-ness, how does this not commit the fallacy of contradiction with one's own words?' Answer: 'If the opponent had not previously established that existence-ness is not substance, and one now objected that that which can possess substance and so forth is non-existent, these words would indeed commit the fallacy of contradiction with one's own words, and would also contradict one's own teaching. But since that opponent previously established an existence that is non-substance, now one simply objects against that, refuting the other and contradicting the other; it does not commit those fallacies.'
