3.77

述曰：解所立不成，有二：初牒指體、後釋其義，此初也。牒前總別宗、因同前，俱別舉喻，謂如覺，覺者即心、心法之總名也。

The Commentary says: Explaining the lack of the probandum has two parts: first, repeating and pointing to the instance; and second, explaining its meaning. This is the first. Repeating the previous general and particular thesis and reason, which are the same as before, both separately adduce the example, meaning 'like cognition'; cognition is the general name for mind and mental factors.
