1.71

抑當年者，天下飢饉，人力衰微，而分括命畢寫，功勵微力移點噵耳。志趣所之，有二大願：當寺伽藍造功速成，興隆正法惠命長遠（是一）；順次生中往生內院，面奉彌勒心不退轉（是二）。

Now, during that year, there was famine across the land and human strength was exhausted; yet, barely preserving life, I completed the transcription and with my feeble strength diligently added punctuation. The direction of my aspiration holds two great vows: that the construction of this monastery’s saṅghārāma be swiftly accomplished, and that the flourishing of the true Dharma’s wisdom-life endure long (the first); that in the very next rebirth I be born into the Inner Court, behold Maitreya face to face, and never regress in mind (the second).
