點本延喜十六年普光寺長講東大寺圓超大法師所讀也。墨讀永超僧都傳而已。嘉應二年歲次（庚寅）十月二十一日，比校點及文字了，但點本字並點，粗涉不審，更尋訪根本點本，可加復審也。比校之間，著法衣、淨弊身，以終其功。伏乞迴微功於群生，共向菩提，同證佛果而已。

The punctuated exemplar was read by the Great Master Enchō of Tōdai-ji during his long lectureship at Hōkō-ji in Engi 16. It was merely a transmission in black ink annotations of Sōzu Eichō. On the twenty-first day of the tenth month of the year of Kaō 2 (gengyin), the punctuation and characters were collated; however, the characters and punctuation of the exemplar are somewhat uncertain, so the original exemplar should be further sought out and reviewed. During the collation, wearing the Dharma robe and purifying my wretched body, I brought this work to completion. I humbly pray that this meager merit be dedicated to all sentient beings, that together we head toward bodhi and jointly realize the fruit of buddhahood.
