Question: True and false are mutually contradictory and have no reason to combine; why speak of "one mind"?
Answer: On the side of the meaning of according with the false, it constantly becomes the false without obstructing the true; on the side of the meaning of being completely true, it constantly remains the true without obstructing the false. Just as, on the side of the meaning of the pillar as a real entity, it completely ceases and has no continuous transition; while on the side of the meaning of nominal designation, it completely transitions and has no meaning of cessation, yet they do not obstruct each other. Conditioned things still possess both: the two meanings of transition and cessation do not hinder or obstruct each other; how much more so with the true mind having two meanings!
