次釋其名。五住性結及事無知，體是闇惑勞亂之法，故名煩惱。緣智礙真，故名智障。

Next, explaining their names: the inherent defilements of the five abodes and ignorance concerning phenomenal facts are in essence dark, confused, toiling, and turbulent dharmas, and are therefore named afflictions. Conditioned wisdom obstructs the real, and is therefore named the wisdom obstruction.
