第三廣釋立義分中二種乘義，而此二義，是釋用大。文中已兼顯故，不須別釋。如言「諸佛本在因地發大慈修諸度行」乃至廣說，是初乘義也。如上立中云「一切諸佛本所乘故。」又說菩薩發心已玄見佛差別修證之相，是後乘義。上云「一切菩薩，皆乘此法到佛地故。」

Third, the extensive explanation of the two meanings of vehicle within the section establishing the meaning; and these two meanings explain the greatness of function. Because they have already been implicitly revealed in the text, there is no need for a separate explanation. When it says: "All Buddhas originally in the causal stage generated great compassion and cultivated the practices of the perfections..." and so on at length, this is the first meaning of vehicle. As stated in the establishment above: "Because all Buddhas originally rode upon it." Again, it states that bodhisattvas, having generated the aspiration, profoundly see the Buddha and the characteristics of their diverse practices and realizations; this is the second meaning of vehicle. Above it said: "Because all bodhisattvas ride upon this dharma to reach the Buddha stage."
