1.74

言「滿足方便」者，在無垢地。「破和合識相」者，謂不生滅與生滅和合，名和合識。今破其所合之生滅相故，不生滅體離相而影故，下言影「顯現法身」是本覺也。

The words "fulfilling expedient means" refers to being in the Immaculate Ground (vimalā-bhūmi). As for "breaking the characteristic of the composite consciousness," it means that the non-arising and non-ceasing composite with the arising and ceasing is named the composite consciousness. Now, because its combined characteristics of arising and ceasing are broken, the essence of non-arising and non-ceasing is freed from characteristics and casts its reflection; hence it says below that its reflection "manifests the dharmakāya," which is innate enlightenment.
