Regarding "karmic consciousness," the meaning is as explained before. However, in other places it is taught that what is seen prior to the stages is called the created transformation body, while what is seen on the stages is called the saṃbhogakāya. In order to distinguish between those who have realized and those who have not realized, here it is stated that what is seen by ordinary beings and the two vehicles is called the nirmāṇakāya, whereas what is seen from the initial mind of the ten understandings onward is called the saṃbhogakāya, so as to clarify that bodhisattvas deeply believe in consciousness-only and accord with the meaning of karmic consciousness, not imagining it to come from outside, unlike ordinary beings and followers of the Hinayana. Furthermore, here, because it pertains to the sublime characteristics seen by these bodhisattvas of the three [stages of] worthies relying on the mind of samādhi, it is subsumed under the saṃbhoga Buddha. In other sūtras and treatises, referring to the coarse characteristics seen by these bodhisattvas with a scattered mind, it is subsumed under the transformation body. The rest of the text is clear, and can thus be known.
