辨相中，初一是總，後七是別。所以爾者，總通兼正，別為當機，故須爾也。

In distinguishing the characteristics, the first one is general, and the subsequent seven are specific. The reason for this is that the general applies to both primary and secondary [capacities], while the specific are for those directly addressed; therefore it must be so.
