○辨相中，釋上三名即為三段。初中有二：先總、後別。總者，釋上立義分中，眾生心攝一切等也；別者，釋上立義分中「何以故」下二門別義也。總中有三：初、依法開門，二、列其二門，三、二門該攝。

In discerning the characteristics, explaining the three names above constitutes three sections. In the first there are two: first, general, and second, particular. The general explains that the minds of sentient beings subsume all, etc., in the Section on Establishing the Meaning above. The particular explains the distinct meanings of the two gates below "Why is this?" in the Section on Establishing the Meaning above. In the general there are three: 1. opening the gates based on the Dharma, 2. listing the two gates, and 3. the two gates comprehensively subsuming.
