2.147

因中依法力熏習者，謂真如內熏之力，及所流教法外緣熏力，此在地前，依此熏力修習資糧加行善根。登地已上，行契證如，故云如實修行。十地行終，故云滿足方便，此在金剛，因位極也。

In the cause, 'relying on the perfuming power of the Dharma' refers to the power of internal perfuming by tathatā and the perfuming power of the external condition of the doctrinal Dharma that flows forth [from it]. This is prior to the grounds; relying on this perfuming power, one cultivates the wholesome roots of accumulation and application. From ascending the grounds onward, practice accords with the realization of tathatā; hence it says 'practicing in accordance with reality.' The practice of the ten grounds ends; hence it says 'fulfilling expedient means.' This is at the vajra[-like samādhi], the culmination of the stage of the cause.
