疑云：染法多種，差別不同，如何根本唯一無明？釋云：染法雖多，皆是無明之氣，悉不覺之差別相，故不異不覺也，故云以一切染法皆是不覺相也。上來總釋不覺義，即約染法辨心生滅竟。

A doubt says: Defiled dharmas are manifold and differentiated; how can their fundamental root be avidyā alone? It is explained: Although defiled dharmas are many, they are all the breath of avidyā, entirely differentiated marks of non-enlightenment, and therefore not different from non-enlightenment. Hence it says, "Because all defiled dharmas are marks of non-enlightenment." The general explanation of the meaning of non-enlightenment above, which analyzes the mind's arising and ceasing with reference to defiled dharmas, is concluded.
