2.283

前中無明者，根本無明也。妄心者，業識等也。以世間一切諸境依此而成，謂即現識等也。若無明未盡已還，此識住持境界不息，故云住持等也。

In the first part, "avidyā" refers to fundamental avidyā. "Delusive mind" refers to the karmic consciousness and so forth. Because all worldly sense-objects are formed in reliance on this, it refers to the manifesting consciousness and so forth. As long as avidyā has not yet been exhausted, this consciousness sustains sense-objects without cessation; therefore it says "sustained", and so forth.
