妄心熏習義有二種。云何為二？一者、分別事識熏習，依諸凡夫二乘人等，厭生死苦，隨力所能，以漸趣向無上道故。

The meaning of the perfuming of the deluded mind is twofold. What are the two? First, the perfuming of the differentiating empirical consciousness: by relying on this, ordinary beings, followers of the two vehicles, and the like, feel revulsion toward the suffering of birth-and-death and, according to their capacity, gradually advance toward the unsurpassed path.
