'Furthermore, what is seen by bodhisattvas who have newly aroused the mind [for bodhi] and the like is seen in partial measure because of their deep faith in the dharma of tathatā. They know that such matters as forms, marks, and adornments have no coming and no going, and are free from delimitation; they manifest solely relying on the mind and are not separated from tathatā. Yet these bodhisattvas still make discriminations of their own, because they have not yet entered the stage of the dharmakāya. If they attain the pure mind, what they see is subtle and wonderful, and its function becomes increasingly superior, up until the culmination of the bodhisattva grounds, where they see it completely. If one is free from karmic consciousness, then there is no mark of seeing, because the dharmakāyas of all Buddhas have no mutually seeing of mutual forms and marks.'
