○對治中二：先明法體離始，則顯生死無初。梁《攝論》云「生死無初也。」後明法體離終，涅槃無盡。

In the remedy there are two parts: first, clarifying that the essence of reality is free from a beginning, thereby revealing that saṃsāra has no start—the Liang translation of the Mahāyānasaṃgraha states, "saṃsāra has no beginning"; second, clarifying that the essence of reality is free from an end, so that nirvāṇa is inexhaustible.
