3.334

釋中四門：初一、不住道；次二、自利行；後一、利他。自利中，初斷德，次智德。此四門中，各有三義：一、列名；二、釋相；三、「以隨順法性」下，明修意。

In the explanation there are four gates: the first is the path of non-abiding; the next two are practices for one's own benefit; the last one is for benefiting others. Within one's own benefit, the first is the virtue of severance, the next is the virtue of wisdom. Within these four gates, each has three meanings: 1. listing the names; 2. explaining the characteristics; 3. from “Because of conforming to dharmatā” onward, clarifying the purpose of cultivation.
