○第二辨觀相中有四：初、法相觀，即治前失自利過；二、「如是當念」下，明大悲觀，即治前失利他過；三、「作是思惟」下，明大願觀，即成前大悲行；四、「以起如是」下，明精進觀，即成前自利行。就初中明四非常觀。

Second, discriminating the marks of vipaśyanā has four parts: first, contemplation of phenomenal marks, which remedies the former fault of losing self-benefit; second, from 'Thus one should reflect' onward, clarifying the contemplation of great compassion, which remedies the former fault of losing benefit for others; third, from 'Engaging in this reflection' onward, clarifying the contemplation of the great vow, which accomplishes the former practice of great compassion; fourth, from 'Having aroused such' onward, clarifying the contemplation of diligence, which accomplishes the former practice of self-benefit. Under the first, the four contemplations of impermanence and the rest are clarified.
