○自下第三明防退方法，於中有二：先明可退之人，後「當知如來」下明防退之法。前中二：初、標行劣；二、「以住於此」下，舉處釋成。

From here below is the third part, clarifying the method for preventing regression, within which there are two parts: first, clarifying the persons who may regress; later, from "one should know that the Tathāgata" down, clarifying the method for preventing regression. Within the former there are two: first, marking their inferior practice; second, from "because of residing in this" down, citing their place to explain and establish it.
