Question: Do all those of determinate two vehicles who enter cessation turn their minds, or are there some who do not turn? Answer: All of them turn. How is this known? The Saddharmapuṇḍarīkaśāstra states: 'There are two kinds [of persons] who bestow prophecies upon śrāvakas: first, the Tathāgata; second, the Bodhisattva Sadāparibhūta. There are four kinds of śrāvakas upon whom prophecies are bestowed: first, determinate śrāvakas; second, excessively proud śrāvakas; third, śrāvakas who have retreated from the bodhicitta; fourth, emanation śrāvakas. For the latter two śrāvakas, because their faculties have matured, the Buddha bestows prophecies upon them, meaning that emanation śrāvakas, after retreating, give rise to the bodhicitta again; for determinate śrāvakas and excessively proud persons, because their faculties have not yet matured, bodhisattvas bestow prophecies upon them, using expedients to cause them to give rise to the bodhicitta.' Explanation: Since determinate śrāvakas are among those prophesied, we therefore know that they definitely give rise to the bodhicitta. Moreover, since it only says that their faculties have not yet matured, and does not say that they will never mature, we therefore know that they definitely possess the nature. Furthermore, that śāstra states: '"I do not disparage you, for you will all become Buddhas" indicates that all sentient beings possess the buddha-nature.' Explanation: This is a bodhisattva bestowing a prophecy, clearly showing that determinate śrāvakas possess the buddha-nature.
