12.18

一、徵。疏　緣起妙理者，真如為因，無明為緣，起成諸識。斯則性起為相，是不思議微妙理趣，故云妙理。問意可知。

First, inquiry. Commentary: "The wondrous principle of dependent origination": tathatā is the cause, and avidyā is the condition, which arise to form the various consciousnesses. Thus nature-origination constitutes the marks, which is an inconceivable, subtle principle and purport; hence it is called "wondrous principle." The intent of the question is obvious.
