12.20

常淨。疏　即染等者，雖隨熏成染，其體常淨，如鏡現穢，其體不動。斯則正由不動而得隨緣，正由隨緣顯得不動。

Constantly pure. Commentary: "Namely, defiled..." and so on: although it becomes defiled in accordance with perfuming, its essence is constantly pure, just as when a mirror manifests filth, its essence is unmoved. Thus, precisely by being unmoved can it accord with conditions, and precisely by according with conditions is it revealed to be unmoved.
