15.27

疏　問若真心下，十三、真佛何假修因難。意云：若從行生，則本未是佛，何得前云眾生真心同諸佛體，而論應化之身乎？

[Commentary] 'Question: If the true mind ...' [marks] the thirteenth: the objection asking why the true Buddha would rely on practicing causes. The idea is: if it is born from practice, then fundamentally it was not yet a Buddha; how then could it be said earlier that the true mind of sentient beings is identical with the essence of all Buddhas, while here one discusses a response and transformation body?
