三、結果由因等者，意令眾生修樂因、證樂果也。此與前科相次，正同《華嚴》四分之初二也。準《地持論》，十信種因，十住已去解方便，初地分得，八地已上圓滿相續，佛地究竟。

Third, 'the result concluding from the cause and so forth' means leading sentient beings to cultivate pleasant causes and realize pleasant results. This connects sequentially with the previous section, exactly identical to the first two of the four divisions of the *Avataṃsaka*. According to the *Bodhisattvabhūmi-śāstra*, the ten faiths plant the seeds of cause; from the ten abodes onward, one understands the skillful means; at the first bhūmi, one partially attains it; at the eighth bhūmi and above, it is perfected in continuity; and at the Buddha-stage, it is ultimate.
