一、牒章。論　發何等心者，前之所說但是能發之因緣，未知所發之心作何行相，故此徵也。

1. Repeating the Section. On the treatise's "what kind of mind is generated": What was spoken of previously were merely the causes and conditions capable of generating it, but it is not yet known what marks of practice the generated mind has; hence this inquiry.
