18.28

舉數中，疏　有信等者，信若無行，非實信也。以信是順義，順而行之，乃為真信。將知此行是成信之行，信是即行之信，此信則決定不退也。如前所退者，不能如此故。

In stating the number: [Commentary:] "Having faith..." and so forth means that if faith is without practice, it is not real faith. Because faith has the meaning of compliance, only when one complies and practices it is it true faith. One should know that this practice is practice that accomplishes faith, and faith is faith that is identical to practice; such faith definitely does not fall back. Those who previously fell back could not be like this.
