"Indestructible": with firm resolve and without fear, resolutely carrying it to completion. The *Classic of Poetry* says: "My mind is not a stone; it cannot be turned; / My mind is not a mat; it cannot be rolled." Why is this so? Because one knows saṃsāra is definitely suffering; because one knows the Buddha-fruit is definitely bliss; because one knows sentient beings are no different from oneself and fully capable of being liberated. Because of this, a thousand transformations do not alter one's intention, ten thousand conditions smoothly open up one's path, and even to losing one's body and giving up one's life, one does not abandon the bodhimind. Therefore the *Baozang lun* says: "One determined to return disregards fatigue; one determined to battle disregards death; one determined to study disregards one's body; one determined on the Way does not hold affairs dear." This is its indestructibility.
