19.38

得通中，論　先是得通魔，得有漏五通故，令行人亦得此通。此中過去是宿命，未來是天眼，現在是他心，前現形即神境，唯不顯天耳，含在其中也，辯才無礙是起辯。

Under "Attaining supernormal powers," the treatise first presents attaining supernormal powers: because Māra attains the five tainted supernormal powers, he also causes the practitioner to attain these supernormal powers. Herein, the past is the recollection of past lives, the future is the divine eye, and the present is the knowledge of others' minds. The earlier manifestation of physical forms is the base of miraculous powers; only the divine ear is not made explicit, being implicitly included within them. "Unimpeded eloquence" refers to giving rise to debate.
