一、辨教下二、釋文，二：初、總標也。十徵釋者，十段之中皆初一句是徵，餘皆釋也。

"1. Discerning the teaching..." and so forth is the second [part]: explaining the text. It has two [parts]. First is the general presentation. The "ten inquiries and explications" means that in all of the ten sections, the first sentence is an inquiry and the rest are explications.
