論 以深下，或問曰：「以何義故，不信毀謗者獲罪如斯？」故此釋之。亦如《法華》云：斷佛種故，受斯罪報。
The treatise states: 'Because deeply, etc.' Someone asks: 'For what reason does one who disbelieves and slanders incur such sin?' Therefore this is explained. It is also as the Lotus Sūtra states: 'Because they sever the seeds of Buddhahood, they receive this retributive penalty.'
