5.14

假問者，一、自作問起，假為他故；二、實非有疑，假作疑故。以自問自答，意令法義明了顯現，故如此問也。

"Hypothetical question": first, raising the question oneself, setting it up on behalf of others; second, there is not truly any doubt, but one hypothetically raises a doubt. By questioning and answering oneself, the intention is to make the meaning of the Dharma clear and manifest; therefore, such a question is posed.
